Local / Point-to-Point Couriers

Local or Point-to-Point couriers are freight companies which are contracted to specifically deliver one or more items from one specific point, directly to a second specific point, normally within a short delivery window of only a few hours.

Local couriers are often over-looked by businesses as they are seen as an expensive option of moving something from A to B when it is urgent. Whilst this is one of the service options, a local courier in some instances can be lower cost than using a standard overnight express freight provider, and it is a much quicker service.

The local courier is especially cost effective for larger consignments such as one or more pallets, or a large number of cartons. The courier provider can also handle more complex delivery requirements due to the ability to relay complex instruction on a consignment level basis, and the ability to hold the driver for delays or unloading assistance.
