One of the key advantages with 3^rd Party short or long term storage is that you only pay for the space you occupy. When comparing this to using your own facility, your in-house solution must allow for the maximum space you will need at any time. This will result in a fixed cost for storage based on this amount of space even if your building is half empty of less.

With off-site storage you have continual access and information about your product, but only pay for the space you occupy. Storage charges are calculated per pallet space occupied, with no minimums you could be charged as little as a single pallet space, yet have 500 or more available to you if required the next day.

In nearly all cases the costs associated to 3^rd Party Warehousing are considerably less than any other storage option traditionally available.
